- Dedicated electrical circuits for each appliance, wired and certified by our Part P approved electricians
- Plumbing connections for integrated dishwashers and water-fed coffee machines, sized to cope with local water pressure

Not Included / Costed Separately

- Consumer unit upgrades or extra mains capacity, occasionally needed in older properties with dated wiring, are quoted separately once our electrician has checked the existing supply
- New gas pipework to a kitchen with no existing gas supply is priced separately and carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer
- Structural alterations needed to fit non-standard or oversized appliances into an existing layout are scoped and costed at the design stage, not included in a standard installation price

Built-in vs Freestanding Appliances: How They Compare in a Nottingham Kitchen
| Built-in appliances | Freestanding appliances | |
|---|---|---|
| Typical cost | Around 15-30% more than an equivalent freestanding model | Lower purchase price, no integration work needed |
| Typical lifespan | 7-10 years in our experience fitting them across Nottingham | 5-8 years in our experience |
| Kitchen layout | Hidden behind cabinet doors or panel-ready fronts for a flush line | Sits proud of the cabinet run, breaks up worktop lines |
| Installation needed | Dedicated electrics, plumbing and ventilation fitted to the appliance | Usually just a socket, plus a water and drain connection if applicable |
| Impact on resale | Estate agents we work with report it can help a sale | Neutral -- buyers commonly replace freestanding appliances anyway |
Qualified Trades and a Written Guarantee on Every Appliance We Fit
Every trade on a built-in appliance job is covered by someone qualified for that specific part of the work, not a general fitter having a go at all of it. Plumbing connections for integrated dishwashers and water-fed coffee machines are handled by NVQ Level 2 and City & Guilds qualified plumbers; electrical circuits go in via Part P approved installers with full safety certification; and where a job includes a gas hob or range, the connection and commissioning is signed off by a Gas Safe registered engineer. We're family-run, trading for over 20 years across Nottingham and the wider East Midlands, and we've completed 800+ kitchens for local homeowners -- customers deal directly with the people designing and fitting their kitchen, not a call centre. Before anything starts you get a clear written agreement with no hidden fees, and every finished job carries a formal sign-off, a 5-year guarantee on labour and installation, and a 2-year guarantee on the appliances themselves. We're also members of the Construction Industry Training Board and the Federation of Small Businesses.
Built-in Appliance Fitting Across Nottingham and the Wider East Midlands
Nottingham is home turf, but built-in appliance fitting takes us right across the wider area from a dedicated regional workshop. On the Nottinghamshire side that covers Mansfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Stapleford; on the Derbyshire side, Derby, Long Eaton, Alfreton and Heanor -- roughly a 15-20 mile radius that reaches out towards Chesterfield and the Derbyshire border. Within Greater Nottingham we're regularly in West Bridgford, Wollaton, Beeston, Arnold and Sneinton. A good number of our appliance jobs sit along the NET tram corridor running through Beeston and Clifton, which helps our fitters move kit and materials between sites on the same day. Older housing stock varies a lot street to street -- a Victorian terrace near the Lace Market can need a different ventilation or wiring approach to a 1930s semi in Beeston, and that kind of variation is exactly what our team is set up to work around.
