- CAD and interactive floor-planning design, so you see a photo-realistic version of the finished room before committing to anything
- Full project management - joinery, plumbing, electrics, gas, plastering, tiling and decorating scheduled and supervised by one team, not passed between subcontractors
- Bespoke cabinetry and cabinet making, from traditional hand-finished Shaker to handleless contemporary units, built by City & Guilds trained craftsmen - also bespoke wardrobes and fitted storage if you're doing those alongside the kitchen
- Stone and engineered worktops, including granite, Italian marble, quartz and sintered surfaces such as Corian and Dekton, laser-templated and cut in-house then fitted seamlessly on site
- Kitchen plumbing - appliance, tap and sink integration carried out by NVQ Level 2 and City & Guilds certified plumbers

- Electrical infrastructure and kitchen circuit work by Part P approved installers, fully certified on completion
- Gas hob and range installation and commissioning by Gas Safe registered engineers
- Plastering and tiling to finish walls, splashbacks and floors around the new units
- Architectural respraying and recoating of existing timber or laminate units and doors for kitchens that don't need a full rip-out, colour matched to palettes such as Little Greene or Farrow & Ball
- Removal and disposal of your old kitchen, carried out under a registered waste carrier licence
- Small associated building works that come with a kitchen project - stud walls, widening a doorway, minor openings between rooms
Not Included / Costed Separately
- Major structural work such as removing a load-bearing wall for a full extension - we'll bring in a structural engineer and coordinate it, but it's priced and programmed separately from a standard kitchen install
- Relocating a gas meter or upgrading your electrical consumer unit - achievable, but only quoted once it's identified on the home visit, since it can involve the distribution network operator or National Grid
- Repairing or servicing appliances bought elsewhere once they're out of the original supplier's warranty
- Asbestos removal - if this turns up during strip-out in an older property, work pauses until a licensed specialist has dealt with it
- Decorating or tiling elsewhere in the house beyond the kitchen, unless it's agreed and added at the quote stage

How a Kitchen Project With Us Actually Runs
- Enquiry and free home visit -- Call or fill in the contact form and you'll hear back within 24 hours to book a visit. Someone comes to your kitchen, measures the space, looks at what you've got to work with (services, walls, floor levels) and talks through what you actually want to change - not everyone needs a full rip-out.
- Design and visualisation -- Using CAD and interactive floor-planning software, we build a photo-realistic version of the new layout, cabinet style and worktop before anything is ordered. You can move units, swap finishes and see how light falls in the room, so surprises are caught on screen rather than on installation day.
- Written quotation and agreement -- A full, itemised, no-obligation quote follows the design stage, with no costs added later that weren't in it to start with. Once you're happy, a written agreement is signed before any deposit or work begins. Kitchens generally start from around £5,000, and finance is available through an FCA-regulated partner, subject to status.
- Coordinated trades on site -- Strip-out, first-fix plumbing and electrics, structural or plastering work, cabinet installation, worktop templating and fitting, tiling, and second-fix connections run through in sequence. Every trade is scheduled by the same team that quoted the job, so you're dealing with one point of contact rather than chasing separate tradespeople.
- Snagging and sign-off -- Once the kitchen is fitted, someone comes back to check doors align, seals are tight, drawers run smoothly and appliances are commissioned properly, before you sign off the completed work formally.
- Warranty and aftercare -- You get a written installation warranty on completion, backed by a 5-year guarantee on labour and installation and a 2-year guarantee on products. If anything needs adjusting after you've moved back in, it's the same team you call, not a different subcontractor who fitted one part of it.
What Kitchen Services Cost in Nottingham
Full kitchens generally start from around £5,000, but that figure covers a wide range depending on what's actually being done. A like-for-like swap in a straightforward galley kitchen with laminate worktops sits at one end; a bespoke handleless design with Dekton or quartz surfaces, moved plumbing, new electrical circuits and a full plaster finish sits considerably higher. Worktop material alone makes a real difference - laminate is the budget option, granite and quartz sit in the middle, and high-character Italian marble or sintered surfaces like Dekton and Corian cost more because of the material itself and the laser templating and skilled jointing needed to fit them seamlessly.

If your existing units are structurally sound but tired-looking, architectural respraying is worth asking about - refinishing doors and carcasses with an airless-sprayed, factory-grade finish costs a fraction of a full replacement and can be colour matched to Little Greene or Farrow & Ball shades. Plumbing, electrical and gas work are priced on what's actually needed on site - a kitchen with the sink staying roughly where it is costs less to re-plumb than one with the layout flipped. None of this is a figure we'd want to give you without seeing the room: a proper quote needs a free home visit, and what you get back is a full written breakdown with no hidden extras, plus finance through an FCA-regulated partner if you'd rather spread the cost, subject to status.
One Team vs Sourcing Every Trade Yourself
| What matters to you | Nottingham Kitchen Fitter | Big-box store kitchen department | Sourcing each trade yourself |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who manages the trades | One team - joiners, plumbers, electricians, gas engineers, plasterers and tilers coordinated by the people who quoted the job | Store sells the units; fitting is often subcontracted separately | You book and manage a joiner, plumber, electrician, gas engineer, plasterer and tiler yourself |
| Seeing it before you commit | CAD and interactive floor-planning render of your actual room before work starts | A showroom display, not your kitchen | Depends entirely on whoever you hire |
| Gas and electrical compliance | Gas Safe registered engineers and Part P approved installers as standard, with certification issued | Varies - worth asking who's actually doing it | You have to vet and book compliant tradespeople yourself |
| Guarantee | 5 years on labour and installation, 2 years on products, in writing | Varies by store and by installer | Only as good as each individual tradesperson's own guarantee |
| Price transparency | Free home visit, then one full written quote with no hidden extras | Package pricing that often excludes fitting | Several separate quotes to chase, compare and manage yourself |

Twenty Years of Being the Only Number You Need to Save
We've been designing and fitting kitchens across Nottingham and the wider East Midlands for over 20 years, and we're still a family-run business, not a franchise or a national chain - when you call, you're talking to the people actually designing and fitting your kitchen, not a call centre routing you to a subcontractor they've never met. That matters more than it sounds: a kitchen genuinely needs a joiner, a plumber, an electrician, a gas engineer, a plasterer and a tiler to all turn up in the right order and do the job properly, and every one of those trades here works to a real qualification - City & Guilds trained cabinet makers, NVQ Level 2 certified plumbers, Part P approved electricians, Gas Safe registered gas engineers, and plastering backed by four decades of on-site experience.
Waste from the old kitchen leaves the property under a registered waste carrier licence, so it's disposed of properly rather than dumped. Before a hammer is lifted, you get a full, transparent written agreement with no hidden fees, and before you commit to anything at all, CAD and interactive floor-planning software lets you see a photo-realistic version of your new kitchen. We're proud members of the Construction Industry Training Board and the Federation of Small Businesses, and every finished job gets a formal sign-off and a written installation warranty - not a handshake and a hope it holds together.
Where We Cover Kitchen Services Around Nottingham
Most of our work is in Nottingham itself, working out from our regional workshop across the city and into Greater Nottingham - West Bridgford, Wollaton, Beeston, Arnold and Sneinton. In the Lace Market and the wider Creative Quarter, that often means industrial-chic layouts with exposed brick and matte-black hardware suiting the converted warehouse and townhouse conversions common in that part of the city; closer to Nottingham Castle and across the older conservation streets built on the sandstone caves, floors and walls can be genuinely uneven, so a site visit before quoting isn't optional there, it's how you avoid a nasty surprise on strip-out day. Around Wollaton, near Wollaton Hall and the deer park, we see a lot of classic-meets-contemporary requests - traditional cabinet fronts with more modern hardware and worktops.

West Bridgford and the streets either side of Trent Bridge and the River Trent are straightforward for us logistically, and along the Nottingham Express Transit tram corridor through Beeston and towards Clifton, mobile installation coverage is routine rather than an exception.
Beyond the city, we cover Nottinghamshire towns including Mansfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Stapleford, and across into Derbyshire for Derby, Long Eaton, Alfreton and Heanor - broadly a 15-to-20-mile radius from our workshop, extending out towards Chesterfield and the Derbyshire border. For larger projects we'll also travel further into South and West Yorkshire, including Sheffield and Wakefield, and up to York - just mention your postcode on the first call so we can confirm a visit is practical before booking one.
Kitchen Services Questions We Get Asked in Nottingham
What's actually included when you say "kitchen services"?
Design, supply, installation and full project management, plus the three areas of craftsmanship that make up most kitchen jobs: bespoke cabinetry and joinery, stone and engineered worktops, and architectural respraying for kitchens that don't need replacing outright. On top of that, we coordinate the plumbing, electrics, gas work, plastering and tiling a kitchen needs, and we clear away the old one under a registered waste carrier licence when we're done.
Do I need to arrange design and installation separately, or is it one service?
It's one service, run by one team, which is the point of doing it this way rather than piecing it together yourself. The same people who design the layout and produce the CAD visualisation are the ones project-managing the trades who fit it, so nothing gets lost in handover between a design company and a separate fitting company.
Can you manage the whole renovation, including plumbing, electrics and plastering?
Yes - that's the default way we run a full kitchen project. Plumbing is handled by NVQ Level 2 and City & Guilds certified plumbers, electrical infrastructure by Part P approved installers, gas hob and range work by Gas Safe registered engineers, and plastering by tradespeople with four decades of combined site experience between them. You get one written agreement covering all of it, not separate contracts with separate trades.
I only need new worktops, not a whole new kitchen - do you do that?
Yes, worktop replacement on its own is a common job. We laser-template your existing units to get an exact fit, cut the material in-house, and fit it seamlessly on site, whether that's granite, quartz, high-character marble or a sintered surface like Dekton or Corian. It's worth a home visit either way, since the condition of your existing carcasses affects what's realistic.
Can you keep part of my kitchen usable while the main work is going on (a phased installation)?
In a lot of cases, yes, but it needs planning at the quote stage rather than being decided once we're on site. Leaving one run of units and a working sink connected while the rest is stripped out and rebuilt is achievable, though it usually adds time to the overall programme because trades have to work around a live area rather than clearing the whole room at once - worth flagging early if you've only got one kitchen and no other cooking space during the works.
What actually happens day by day during a typical week-long install?
A rough shape for a full kitchen: day one is strip-out plus first-fix plumbing and electrics; day two covers any structural alterations, patch plastering and floor prep; days three and four are cabinet installation and appliance positioning, with the worktop template usually taken once units are fixed in place (stone worktops then go away to be cut, typically returning within a week); remaining days cover tiling, second-fix plumbing and electrical connections, and appliance commissioning. On a job needing a bespoke stone worktop, there's often a short gap mid-project between templating and the worktop coming back fitted - we'll tell you exactly where that falls in your schedule at the quote stage, since it varies by material.
Do you offer a snagging visit after the main installation is finished?
Yes. Once the kitchen is fitted, someone comes back to check doors and drawers align and run properly, seals and joints are tight, and appliances are commissioning correctly, before the job is formally signed off and the written warranty issued.
Will you remove and dispose of my old kitchen?
Yes, that's part of a standard installation. Old units, worktops and associated waste are cleared and disposed of under a registered waste carrier licence, so it's handled legally rather than left for you to sort out or taken somewhere it shouldn't go.
If I only want project management, not supply, would you take that on?
It depends on the job, and it's worth being upfront about this rather than just saying yes to everything. We're mainly set up to design, supply and install as one package, because the 5-year labour guarantee and written warranty are built around us sourcing and fitting materials we've vetted ourselves. If you've already bought units or a worktop elsewhere and want the trades coordinated, raise it at the home visit - we'll look at it case by case, but cover in that situation is usually limited to the labour we've carried out, not the full guarantee that comes with a job we've supplied end to end.
