What's Included in a Commercial Quartz Worktop Installation
- A free site visit and measurement, followed by a full written quotation with no obligation to proceed
- Laser templating of the space so the quartz is cut to a precise fit around existing units, sinks and equipment before we arrive on site
- In-house cutting, including cut-outs for sinks, hobs, drainer grooves and equipment mounts
- Seamless on-site jointing by trained stonemasons, keeping joins as tight and low-visibility as possible on long runs and island counters
- Matching upstands, splashbacks and reception or bar-front panels cut from the same slab
- Polished or matte (honed) edge finishing, chosen to suit the space and how it's used
- Fitting scheduled around your trading hours -- early mornings, evenings or a planned closure day -- to limit disruption
- A written agreement before work starts, and a formal sign-off with installation warranty on completion

Not Included / Costed Separately
- Removal and disposal of the old worktop -- we can handle this under our registered waste carrier licence, but it's quoted separately from the new installation
- Structural work to strengthen or replace cabinetry and units that aren't rated to carry the weight of a stone worktop
- Relocating plumbing, gas or electrical points to a new position -- our own Gas Safe, Part P and NVQ-qualified trades can do this, but it's priced once the new layout is confirmed
- Out-of-hours or weekend-only fitting where a business needs the entire job done outside normal trading hours, which is quoted as an addition

How a Commercial Quartz Worktop Project Runs, Start to Finish
- Free consultation and site visit -- We look at the space -- kitchen, bar, reception or retail counter -- talk through how it's used day to day, and measure up. You get a full, no-obligation written quotation, not a rough estimate.
- Material and finish selection -- You choose the quartz colour, pattern and edge finish (polished or matte), checked against your branding and lighting where that matters, such as a front-of-house counter or bar.
- Written agreement and scheduling -- Everything is set out in a clear, transparent written agreement before any work starts, with no hidden extras. Installation is scheduled around your trading hours to keep the business running.
- Laser templating and in-house cutting -- Once the units, sinks and equipment the worktop sits around are in place, we laser-template the space and cut the quartz in-house to that exact template, including any sink, hob or equipment cut-outs.
- On-site fitting and jointing -- Our stonemasons fit and joint the worktop on site, then finish the upstands and splashbacks to match -- work is planned to be as quick and low-disruption as possible in an active commercial space.
- Sign-off and warranty -- The finished installation is checked with you and formally signed off, backed by a 5-year guarantee on labour and installation and a 2-year guarantee on the worktop itself.
Pricing for Commercial Quartz Worktops
A commercial quartz worktop is priced on its own specification rather than a flat rate -- the total depends on the surface area, edge profile, how many joins and cut-outs are needed, whether upstands or splashbacks are included, and whether any reinforcement is needed to support the units underneath. Rarer colours and patterns typically sit above the standard range too. Our residential kitchen installations start from around £5,000, but a worktop-only commercial job for a café counter, office kitchen or hotel bar can come in well below that, or above it for a large multi-run installation with several joins -- there's no single figure that applies to every business. A full, accurate price needs a site visit and measurement, which we provide free and without obligation, and flexible finance is available through our FCA-regulated finance partner for larger projects, subject to status.

Quartz Compared With Other Worktop Materials for Commercial Use
| Surface material | Porosity / hygiene | Heat resistance | Maintenance | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quartz (engineered) | Non-porous, doesn't need sealing | Good under normal use; still avoid direct contact with very hot pans | Wipe-clean, no sealing needed | Food-prep areas, busy kitchens and hygiene-critical spaces |
| Granite (natural stone) | Porous -- needs periodic resealing | Very good; handles hot pans well | Needs resealing over time to stay stain-resistant | Reception desks, bars and feature counters |
| Italian marble | Porous and softer -- etches with acids, oils and citrus | Good, but can mark if left unsealed | Higher maintenance; needs regular sealing and careful cleaning | Low-traffic, front-of-house display rather than food prep |
| Sintered surfaces (Corian, Dekton) | Non-porous and extremely dense | Excellent -- among the most heat-resistant work surfaces | Very low; wipe-clean | Outdoor or semi-outdoor counters and heavy-use hospitality bars |

Stonemason-Fitted Worktops, Backed by a Written Warranty
The quartz for your worktop isn't sent out to a third-party fabricator -- it's laser-templated and cut in-house on our own equipment, then jointed on site by trained stonemasons who work as part of our dedicated stone and engineered surfaces team. That matters more in a commercial setting than a domestic one: a café counter, bar top or reception desk usually needs longer runs and more joins than a home kitchen, and it's the stonemason's skill at that joint -- not just the quality of the slab -- that decides whether a seam is tight and barely visible or an obvious weak point that catches dirt and wear over time. Where a worktop is part of a wider fit-out, our stonemasons work alongside our City & Guilds trained cabinet makers so the cabinetry and the stone are planned as one job, not two separate trades handed off to each other.
We're also a family-run business that's been designing, cutting and fitting kitchens and work surfaces across Nottingham and the East Midlands for over 20 years, with more than 800 kitchens completed for local homeowners and businesses -- not a national chain, so the people who template, cut and fit your worktop are the same people you speak to when you book the job. Every job starts with a clear written agreement and no hidden fees, and finishes with a formal sign-off and a written installation warranty -- 5 years on labour and installation, 2 years on the product. We're also members of the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
Commercial Quartz Installations Across Nottingham and the Surrounding Area
We work from a regional workshop covering Nottingham and Greater Nottingham -- including West Bridgford, Wollaton, Beeston, Arnold and Sneinton -- out into Nottinghamshire towns such as Mansfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Stapleford, and across into Derbyshire covering Derby, Long Eaton, Alfreton and Heanor, roughly a 15-20 mile radius extending toward Chesterfield. In Nottingham itself, quartz worktops suit two quite different commercial settings we see regularly: industrial-chic cafés and restaurants around the Lace Market and Creative Quarter, where a dark or veined quartz counter sits well against exposed brick and matte-black fittings, and newer office kitchens and apartment-block amenity spaces near the city centre, where a lighter, neutral quartz keeps things bright and easy to keep clean.

Got Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a commercial quartz worktop installation take?
Fitting itself is usually the quickest part -- because the quartz is laser-templated and cut in-house before we arrive, most standard kitchen, bar or reception counters can be fitted in a day or two on site. The longer lead time is between templating and fitting, since the quartz has to be cut to that exact template first; we'll give you a firm timeframe for your specific job at the site visit, and we plan the fitting date around your trading hours.
What guarantee do you offer on commercial quartz worktops?
Every installation carries a 5-year guarantee on the labour and installation itself, plus a 2-year guarantee on the worktop product. The job is formally signed off with you on completion and backed by a written installation warranty, so there's a clear record of what was agreed and fitted.
Which areas do you cover for commercial quartz worktop projects?
We cover Nottingham and Greater Nottingham, out into Nottinghamshire towns including Mansfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Stapleford, and across into Derbyshire covering Derby, Long Eaton, Alfreton and Heanor -- roughly a 15-20 mile radius extending toward Chesterfield. If you're just outside that area, get in touch and we can confirm whether we can take the job on.
