Every product on our shelves gets picked by the same tradespeople who fit the kitchens, not a buying team working from a spreadsheet. If a sealant, cleaner or oil doesn't hold up on the granite, quartz and wood worktops we install across Nottingham, it doesn't make it into our kitchen supply shop.

What's In Our Maintenance Range - And What Needs A Trade Visit Instead

  • Surface-specific care products for granite, quartz, laminate and solid wood worktops, including sealants, pH-neutral cleaners and food-safe oils
  • Cabinet cleaners and touch-up kits for wooden, laminate, high-gloss and painted units
  • Appliance care products, including stainless steel cleaners, oven cleaning kits and descalers for kettles, coffee machines and dishwashers
  • Professional-grade degreasers, industrial limescale removers and mould treatments for jobs a standard cleaner can't shift
  • Booked maintenance visits: quarterly health checks, seasonal deep cleans and annual worktop resealing
  • Restoration and repair work: worktop resurfacing, cabinet door restoration, floor refinishing and sink or tap reconditioning
  • Eco-friendly, non-toxic and fragrance-free product ranges for households with children, pets or allergies

Not Included / Costed Separately

  • Full worktop or cabinet replacement - if a surface is too far gone to restore, that's a new kitchen job, not a maintenance one, and gets its own quotation
  • Gas hob, range or appliance repairs, which go to our Gas Safe registered engineers rather than being solved with a cleaning product
  • Electrical faults behind or around appliances, handled by our Part P approved installers rather than anything we sell over the counter
  • Structural water damage beyond surface-level treatment, which needs a site visit and its own quote before any work starts

From A Phone Call To A Finished Maintenance Visit

  1. Get in touch -- Call or visit the showroom and describe the surfaces and the problem - everyday upkeep, a stain that won't shift, or a worktop that's overdue a reseal.
  2. Personalised product advice -- We match products to your actual materials and to Nottingham's hard water, rather than selling a one-size-fits-all bottle of cleaner.
  3. Book a visit if products won't cut it -- For resealing, deep cleans or restoration, we arrange a site visit rather than guessing a price over the phone.
  4. On-site assessment -- A technician checks the real condition of worktops, cabinets and seals before recommending a repair or resealing schedule.
  5. The work itself -- Cleaning, resealing or restoration is carried out on-site, using the same trade-grade products and techniques used on new installs.
  6. Follow-up care -- You're left with a maintenance routine, and where useful a kit, so the same problem isn't back in six months.

What Products And Maintenance Visits Cost

Off-the-shelf care products range from a few pounds for a daily cleaner to around £20-£30 for specialist sealants or restoration kits, depending on brand and worktop size. Booked visits - resealing, deep cleans, cabinet or worktop restoration - are priced individually once we've seen the actual condition of the surfaces, since a granite worktop needing a light reseal costs very differently to one with chips and staining to put right. Where a surface is too damaged to restore economically, replacement can work out better value than repeated maintenance; a new kitchen through us starts from around £5,000, with finance available through an FCA-regulated partner, subject to status. A full quote for any maintenance or restoration visit needs a site visit - we don't price cabinet or worktop repair work sight unseen.

Advice From The People Who Actually Fit The Kitchens

We're family-run, and over 20 years we've fitted and since helped look after more than 800 kitchens across Nottingham and the wider East Midlands - not a national chain where whoever answers the phone has never seen your worktop. Our cabinet making is done by City & Guilds trained craftsmen and any plumbing behind a sink or tap by NVQ Level 2 and City & Guilds certified plumbers, so when we recommend a sealant or cleaning routine, it's based on what actually holds up on the granite, quartz, wood and stone surfaces we fit ourselves. Work involving gas appliances goes through Gas Safe registered engineers, and anything electrical through Part P approved installers - we don't sell a product as a substitute for a trade visit when one's genuinely needed. Every installation carries a 5-year guarantee on labour and a 2-year guarantee on products, and we're members of the Construction Industry Training Board and the Federation of Small Businesses.

Where We Deliver Products And Maintenance Visits

We're based in Nottingham and cover Greater Nottingham - including Wollaton, Sneinton, Arnold, Beeston and West Bridgford - plus wider Nottinghamshire towns such as Mansfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Stapleford, and into Derbyshire as far as Derby, Long Eaton, Alfreton and Heanor, roughly a 15-20 mile radius stretching towards Chesterfield. In Wollaton, close to the Hall and Deer Park, that often means classic Shaker-style kitchens with wood and stone finishes needing traditional oils and sealants rather than the streak-free sprays suited to a high-gloss city-centre flat. Homes in harder-water pockets like Beeston, Stapleford and Arnold generally need stronger, more frequent limescale treatment than those in softer-water areas, which feeds directly into the product advice we give.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best products for cleaning kitchen worktops?

The best cleaning products depend on your worktop material. For granite and marble, use pH-neutral cleaners specifically designed for natural stone. Quartz worktops can handle most mild cleaners but avoid harsh chemicals. Wooden worktops need special wood cleansers and periodic oiling. Laminate can be cleaned with most household sprays, but avoid abrasive cleaners. We recommend: Granite: Granite Gold Daily Cleaner Quartz: Method Daily Surface Spray Wood: Rustins Danish Oil Laminate: Cif Kitchen Spray

How do I maintain wooden surfaces in my kitchen?

Wooden kitchen surfaces in Nottingham homes need regular care to prevent drying and warping in our changeable climate: Clean spills immediately with a damp cloth Use a wood-specific cleaner weekly Apply food-safe mineral oil or beeswax monthly Re-sand and re-oil annually or when surfaces look dry For iroko kitchen worktop maintenance, we recommend a slightly different routine with specialized oils that enhance the natural water-resistant properties of this African hardwood.

What products should I use to clean kitchen appliances?

Different appliances need different care: Stainless steel: Dedicated stainless steel cleaner that prevents fingerprints Glass stovetops: Ceramic hob cleaner with a scraper tool Ovens: Low-odour oven cleaner appropriate for your oven type Fridges: Food-safe interior cleaner and stainless steel exterior product Microwaves: Citric acid-based cleaners that cut through splatter Dishwashers: Monthly dishwasher cleaner to remove limescale and food debris

How often should I reseal my kitchen worktops?

Resealing frequency depends on the material and usage: Granite: Every 6-12 months (more frequently in areas like Arnold where water is harder) Marble: Every 3-6 months Wood: Every 1-3 months depending on use Quartz: Never - it's non-porous and doesn't require sealing Laminate: Never - but check edge seals annually We offer a worktop assessment service where we'll check if your surfaces need resealing rather than guessing by calendar.

What's the best way to keep stainless steel kitchen surfaces spotless?

Stainless steel can be tricky, especially with Nottingham's water. For best results: Always wipe with the grain, not against it Use dedicated stainless steel cleaner, not glass cleaner Apply with a microfibre cloth, not paper towels Consider a protective coating for frequently touched surfaces Use filtered water for final wiping to prevent water spots

Are natural kitchen cleaning products as effective as chemical ones?

Many natural products work brilliantly, but they often require more physical effort. Vinegar and bicarbonate of soda can handle most kitchen cleaning tasks, but they may need longer contact time than chemical products. For tough jobs like oven cleaning, you might need conventional products, although we do stock some powerful plant-based alternatives that our customers in places like Beeston and Mapperley swear by.
