For quick, practical kitchen updates rather than a full re-fit, our shop is the place to start. Come and look at flooring options that suit your type of house, talk through lighting that actually works for how you cook, choose a splashback material, or pick out paint and finishes built to cope with a working kitchen, then decide whether to fit it yourself or have our own team do it for you.Everything on the shelf here has been chosen and tried out by people who've fitted kitchens across Nottingham for over 20 years, not picked from a supplier catalogue by someone who has never stood in a customer's kitchen. If your plans are bigger than a shop-bought update - a full new kitchen rather than a refresh - the same team handles design, supply and installation from one point of contact.
What's In Stock, And What We'll Fit For You
- Laminate, vinyl, porcelain and engineered wood flooring, including underlay suited to older, uneven Nottingham floors
- LED under-cabinet strips, pendant lights, ceiling spotlights and smart lighting kits
- Glass, metro tile, mosaic and acrylic splashback materials
- Kitchen-specific wall paint, cabinet paint, worktop refinishing kits and tile paint
- Fitting of any of the above by our own installers, booked separately from the shop visit
- Free in-shop advice on matching products to your property type, from Victorian terraces to modern flats

Not Included / Costed Separately
- A full kitchen re-fit, new cabinetry or worktop replacement - that's handled through our design, supply and installation service rather than the shop counter
- Gas hob or cooker point work, which has to be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer, not shop staff
- New ceiling lighting circuits or rewiring, which needs a Part P approved electrician - we can put you in touch with one
- Structural changes such as removing walls or altering window openings
- Appliances such as ovens, hobs, fridges and dishwashers, which aren't part of the shop's stocked range

From Browsing The Shop To A Finished Job
- Come in or call: Have a look at flooring, lighting, splashback and paint samples, or ring us and describe the room and what's bothering you about it.
- Get matched to the right product: We factor in your property type - an uneven Victorian floor, a north-facing kitchen, an older splashback with grout lines - and point you toward products that will actually cope with it, not just whatever's cheapest.
- Decide DIY or fitted: Some products, like acrylic splashback panels or stick-down flooring, most customers fit themselves. Others, like tiling or lighting circuits, we book in our own team or refer you to a trusted local electrician.
- Fitting day: If we're doing the work, our fitters turn up knowing what to expect from Nottingham housing stock - old plumbing, wonky floors, awkward corners - and get on with it without surprises.
- Sign-off: Once it's finished we check it over with you before we leave, so you know exactly what's been done and who to call if anything needs a follow-up.
How Shop Items And Fitting Are Priced
Individual products are priced per item in the shop - a small under-cabinet lighting job costs a lot less than fitting a full new floor, so we don't quote fitting work off a price list. Once we've seen the room and settled on the product, we give you a straight figure before any work is booked in. If what you're really after is a full kitchen rather than a shop-bought update - new cabinetry, worktops and a proper re-fit - that's a bigger project through our design and installation service, where kitchens typically start from around £5,000, with finance available through an FCA-regulated partner subject to status. Either way, an accurate price needs someone to see the room in person, so treat any figure given over the phone as a starting point rather than a final quote.

How We Compare To A DIY Store Or An Online-Only Retailer

Family-Run, And Still The Ones Doing The Fitting
What ends up on our shelves is decided by the same team who carry out our architectural coating and respraying jobs on Nottingham kitchens - work that already involves colour-matching cabinet and woodwork finishes to premium ranges like Little Greene and Farrow & Ball. That means the cabinet paint, tile paint and worktop refinishing kits we stock have been chosen by people who've watched those finishes cope with daily splashes and wiping-down on a real kitchen, not picked off a supplier's bestseller list. We're a family-run business, not a chain, so the person who advises you on a splashback material or a flooring underlay is the same person who might be back a few years later when you're ready for a full re-fit. Where a job needs a specific trade qualification - a Gas Safe registered engineer for a cooker point, a

Part P approved electrician for a new lighting circuit - we bring in properly accredited people rather than having shop staff take it on themselves.

Where We Stock, Advise And Fit
The shop and workshop are based in Nottingham (NG8), and most of our day-to-day customers come from the surrounding suburbs - Wollaton, Beeston, Arnold and Sneinton in Greater Nottingham, plus Mansfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Stapleford further into Nottinghamshire. We also cover Derby, Long Eaton, Alfreton and Heanor over the Derbyshire border, and take on larger fitting projects out to Chesterfield, Wakefield, Sheffield and York. Because the shop and the fitting side run out of the same NG8 workshop, the flooring, splashback and paint lines that sell fastest to local period-property owners are usually held in stock rather than ordered in specially, so a straightforward job can often be fitted within days; a less common finish - a particular engineered wood colour or a bespoke tile size - may need to be ordered from the supplier first, and we'll always tell you upfront if that's the case rather than let it hold up your fitting date.
