What's Covered When We Fit Your Sink or Tap

  • Supply and fitting of stainless steel, ceramic, composite granite, Belfast/Butler, double bowl, undermount and farmhouse sinks
  • Supply and fitting of mixer, pull-down spray, black, hot water (Quooker-style) and water filter taps, plus matched sink and tap sets
  • Removal and disconnection of your old sink and tap
  • Waste disposal units, sink plugs, drainer accessories and soap dispensers
  • Water pressure checks and leak testing once the new tap or sink is fitted
  • 12 month workmanship guarantee on the installation

Not Included / Costed Separately

  • Cabinet or worktop alterations for a non-standard sink shape or size are assessed and priced separately, as with the custom Belfast sink case study above
  • Moving a sink to a new position in the kitchen or running in new pipework is treated as part of a bigger kitchen project rather than a straight swap
  • Boiler or central heating work -- our plumbers handle the tap and sink connection itself, not the wider heating system

How a Sink or Tap Job Runs, Start to Finish

  1. Call for advice -- Talk through what's wrong with your current sink or tap, your budget and the style you're after, so we can point you towards the right material and package before anyone visits.
  2. Free measure-up visit -- We come out to measure your cabinet and worktop, usually within a few days, and flag anything non-standard (like an odd cabinet size) that might affect the price.
  3. Choose your sink and tap -- Pick your material and style from the options we've talked through, with a written quote covering the package price and, if you want it, finance through our Dopple partnership.
  4. Old sink and tap removed -- Your old sink and tap are disconnected, taken out and taken away, ready for the new installation.
  5. New sink and tap fitted -- NVQ Level 2 and City & Guilds qualified plumbers fit and connect the new sink and tap -- usually inside a couple of hours for a straightforward swap, longer for anything like a Belfast sink needing cabinet work.
  6. Pressure check and sign-off -- We check water pressure and test for leaks before we leave, and the job is covered by a 12 month workmanship guarantee.

Getting an Accurate Price for Your New Sink or Tap

The package prices above are our starting points for a straightforward like-for-like swap. What you actually pay depends on things we can only judge properly in person -- the condition of the existing pipework, whether the cabinet needs adapting for a different sink shape (as in the Belfast sink case study above), and which specific tap or sink model you choose. That's why we do a free, no-obligation measure-up visit before putting anything in writing -- you get a proper quote with the package price and any extras spelled out, not a number plucked from a phone call.

Sink Materials Compared for Nottingham Kitchens

Sink Material Durability Maintenance Best Suited To
Stainless Steel Tough, resists dents and everyday wear Wipe with the grain, white vinegar lifts water marks Most Nottingham homes wanting a practical, affordable choice
Ceramic Durable but can chip if something heavy is dropped Gentle cleaners only, avoid abrasive scrubbers Period properties in areas like The Park or Mapperley Park
Composite Granite Very hard to chip or scratch, holds up to heavy family use Low maintenance, but can stain from strong colours like red wine if left too long Busy households and families with children
Belfast/Butler Solid, heavy-duty basin with a traditional deep bowl Standard cleaning, though non-standard cabinets may need custom fitting Farmhouse-style or Victorian kitchens wanting period character
